Tal S. David, M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in arthroscopic and sports medicine surgery. Dr. David is certified in both Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and completed an orthopedic sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship at the renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. David has served on the medical staff of various professional sports teams and serves as a consultant to athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL.
Dr. David is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopic Association of North America. He serves on the Board of Editors of the peer-reviewed scientific journal, ORTHOPEDICS and is a member of the Scientific and Medical Committee of the Arthritis Foundation, San Diego Chapter. Dr. David has had the distinction of being voted “Top Doctor” in the field of orthopedic surgery by his peers in San Diego Magazine in 2013 and 2014. He has authored the textbook “Arthroscopic Techniques of the Shoulder” and is editor of the Visual Arthroscopy Series on arthroscopic surgery. He has published extensively on topics related to orthopedic surgery, sports medicine and sports injuries.
